Architectural Intentions
What moves us about a place is decided before thought. It is the temperature of a room on the first step in, the sound a floor makes underfoot, the light that slides along a wall and lingers on the grain of a stone. In each of our projects, we search for this atmosphere, the quiet presence of materials, the right weight of a door in the hand, the shadow that gives depth to brightness. Successful architecture is not looked at, it is lived in, it is listened to, it is felt.
